About

Best Tennis was created out of a passion for racquet and padel sports. We are a small, family operated business serving the local community.

It is our mission to help you look, feel and play your best.

About me:

My name is Ben Lassanske and I live in Norton Shores MI. I started playing tennis at the age of 14 when I saw a high school tennis coach giving lessons at the public tennis courts.  I had watched tennis on tv growing up, but this was the first time I really heard the thump of a tennis ball and saw a college level player play in person.  It was at that moment that I determined that I wanted to learn how to play like THAT! I’ve been hooked ever since.

I played locally here in western Michigan, playing varsity high school tennis at Mona Shores High School where I was City, Conference, and Regional champion at #2 singles. I went on to play Division III college tennis at top ranked University of Indianapolis and finished my college career at Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne where I played #1 singles, #1 doubles, achieved NCAA GLVC first team all-conference honors. After college, I became a USPTA certified teaching professional and also achieved CRT (certified racquet technician) and MRT (master racquet technician) credentials through the United States Racquet Stringers Association.  I have continued to string and service thousands of racquets over the last 27 years.

Tennis has given me so much in life, from the ups and downs of the game, to the work ethic, discipline, physical and mental fortitude, and friendships it builds. It is my goal to share my knowledge, experience and joy of the sport by giving back as much as I can so we can all continuously improve and be our best.
